Programs
Baptist Theological Academy offers four degree programs and one diploma program. Students may be admitted upon their qualifications for specific programs. The programs are meant to meet the growing needs for our Christianity in this part of the world with theological spheres, scholastic spheres and ministerial spheres.
1. DIPLOMA IN CHURCH MUSIC (CM)
This is a diploma program in Church Music. The course is introduced to produce godly church musicians to meet the needs of local churches in their music spheres. The candidates in this program may choose either PIANO specialization or VOCAL specialization.
2. DIPLOMA IN BIBLICAL STUDIES
This program is two-year course for candidates who are grade eight and above with the age of 15 by the time of admission. The purpose of this course is to provide candidates a basic, entry knowledge to foundation in biblical knowledge and ministry. Upon successful completion of the course with B+ may continue for higher programs.
Duration : 2 years Qualification : Anyone who successfully completed Grade eight and above.3. BACHELOR OF THEOLOGY (B.Th)
This is a degree program for candidates who seek to serve God with basic bible knowledge as well as sound doctrines and, also candidates seeking to pursue further studies.
The purpose of this course is to provide students with sound biblical foundation and equip them for evangelism and various ministries of the church.
4. BACHELOR OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (B.R.E)
This is a degree program for candidates who wished to serve God in religious education fields. This program prepares candidates for teaching, administration, youth leader, kid Sunday school worker in churches or organization and also as a family life coordinator. The purpose of this program is to prepare you to be a teacher who models godly behavior so as to make an indelible impression on your students. The course does not include the linguistic studies of Greek.
5. MASTER OF DIVINITY (M.Div)
This is a degree program for candidates who desire to study deeper studies in a seminary level in their quest for effectiveness in ministry. Linguistic studies such as, Greek, Greek Syntax, Hebrew, Hebrew syntax and exegesis are required along with other specific subjects.
Duration : 2-3 years Qualification : Candidates with B.Th holders or its equivalent degree holders from other sister institutions may continue for two-year program.Candidates with Bachelor degree from secular Universities or Colleges may apply for three-year program.
6. MASTER OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (M.R.E)
This is a degree program designed for candidates seeking to be competent leader in Christian ministry. The course does not include linguistic studies. The purpose of this course is to produce capable-leadership among Christian ministries, especially in the spheres of Christian education ministry.
